Our events

We have a range of activities and events to suit everyone, some occurring regularly such as our weekly and fortnightly woodland management days which take place on weekdays and weekends, if you’re interested in these you can sign up as a volunteer here.

REGULAR EVENTS

ReKindle: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday

Date: Every Monday and Fortnightly on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday from 10am & finishing around 3pm
Venue: Various regional locations
We lead volunteering sessions in the Derwent Valley and the Tyne Valley, and Mid/North Northumberland (Shilbottle/Rothbury) in one of several small woodlands. Tasks include thinning, coppicing, small tree felling, charcoal making, etc. All tools are provided as well as all training and advice. Just come along and be ready to get stuck in! Tree Planting

We work with various partners and landowners across the region to give our expertise on tree planting from the initial stages of design all the way through to planting and maintenance. WOODNET

Venue: Various regional locations
WoodNet is an informal network for connecting both people with an interest in woodland creation or management and professionals who work in the sector. It creates opportunities for joined up thinking, connection and education and sharing of information about woodland creation and management. This is usually a bi monthly event. Community Tree Planting near Barlow, Gateshead

Time: 10.00am to 3.00pm
Venue: South Farm, Barlow, Blaydon-on Tyne, Gateshead
Come and join us for the day and help us plant native trees as part of a new woodland at South Farm, Barlow in Gateshead.
